Counseling and Helping a Teen Cope With Family Death

We all have to deal with a family death at some time but when young people lose a loved one it can be devastating.  When my husband passed away suddenly my teenage daughter was not able to handle the loss and went into a deep state of depression.  I thought with time she would be alright but after a few months I decided we were going to have to see about some teen counseling with a therapist who specializes in these types of problems. It has been over a year now and her grades have gotten better and she is able to cope with the loss.
