James Joyce Biography

Known for popular books such as “Finnegans Wake” and “Portrait of the Artist” James Joyce came into this world on February 2, 1882 in Dublin, Ireland Although, his early education was semi unremarkable, in 1898, while attending University College Dublin(UCD), he begun to show interest in literature.  Joyce graduated from UCD in 1903, and for the next seventeen years he worked at various jobs and tried unsuccessfully  to publish a few works. Later, in 1920, Joyce would finally have the financial backing and support to focus on his writing. Once Joyce arrived in Paris, he remained there for the next 20 years,
